adoption timeline
January 27 - Day we both realized we were in for it... we need to go back to China (FTIA, limb, Nov)(We were in WA)
2/12- sent in application
2/15-fingerprinting with county
2/28-4/3-homestudy
3/23-6/12 compiled dossier
5/8-fingerprinted with Citizenship and Immigration Services
6/7-Recieved clearance from CIS to adopt
6/12 received finalized homestudy
6/15-found problem with CIS form... wait for new one
7/8- strong feelings
7/10 - get ok on paperwork, homestudy and CIS
7/13 -take boys to Boise for Dr. appt and get paperwork notarized and authenticated at the state capital... drive home and send off with fed ex to Washington DC to get authenticated from US State Dept and Chinese Emabassy
7/25- FTIA recieves our dossier
8/17- receive a call from FTIA about the list - they send us information and photos of Yuan Xiu
8/21 received a picture of Yuan Xiu's back
8/22 completed LOI and Family Summary Plan
8/23 LOI sent to China for Yuan Xiu
8/24 dossier sent to China
8/28 LID (Loggin date)
9/4 MRI and CT say all is healthy on her brain and liver
9/6 received darling pictures (face and scalp) of Lili
9/6 -PA!!!- This happened in record time...WOW!!! We are pre-approved for Lili
11/28- LOA!!! Day 84 Hopefully we will travel by mid January!!!
12/17- Travel Approval!!!!!

I love your pictures! They are all so cute! I showed your blog to my friend--just so she could see our cute Lili and she wanted to read about the whole adventure in China! I understand how you feel about newspapers--I felt that way after Manuel was shot.

Melanie, a friend of mine has a granddaughter and husband who want to adopt internationally. They're wondering what agency (ies) you used. If you have time to e-mail her with any info or tips, let me know and I'll get you her e-mail address.
